Traffic Stop Leads To Parke County Drug Bust

PARKE COUNTY, Ind – Around 11 p.m. Tuesday night (2/12/2019) Parke County Police and a K9 Officer assisted an Indiana Conservation Officer on a traffic stop in the Midway area on US36.
After an alert by the K9 a search of the vehicle was conducted.
Officers found approximately 280 grams of Methamphetamine and 80 grams of Marijuana. Also found was approximately 9 vials of THC oil and a bag of THC along with drug paraphernalia.
42-year-old James Gibson was, and passenger 29-year-old Justin Prewitt were arrested multiple drug related charges.
Both are being held in the Parke County Jail with bond set at $75,000 no 10% allowed.
