Illinois Students Will Take New Standardized Test This Month

<![CDATA[CHICAGO  — Illinois third through eighth graders will be given a new, shorter standardized test called the Illinois Assessment of Readiness this month instead of the widely criticized PARCC exam.
State Education officials say that the test is shorter, there will be a shorter wait for results, there will be more locally created questions, and there will be a computer adaptive test model customized for each student.
