SULLIVAN COUNTY, Ind- Investigators from the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office, Indiana State Police, Sullivan County Prosecutor‘s Office and the Sullivan County Coroner’s Office are working together on a joint homicide investigation.

A search warrant was executed yesterday (5/28/19) and a body was recovered in Eastern Sullivan County.

An autopsy was conducted by Forensic Pathologist Dr. Roland Kohr, today (5/29/19) which revealed a preliminary manner of death as homicide.

The victim’s name is not being released at this time pending preliminary identification, as well as notification of family.

Police say that there is no threat to the community and  their investigation is continuing.
