CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ind. — Another case of a police officer shooting a suspect in Montgomery County.

State police say a Crawfordsville police officer tried to pull over a person driving Jeep Cherokee for a traffic violation. They didn’t stop so the officer gave chase.

When they finally came to a stop in a parking lot, they gave commands to the driver who they say refused and pulled out a gun.

That’s when one of the officers fired at the suspect hitting them once.

It’s the third time since December a suspect has been shot by police in the county.
