TERRE HAUTE, Ind.  – A Wednesday evening house fire is being called suspicious.

It happened just before 6:00 near 19th Street and Washington Avenue.

One person was taken to the hospital and treated for minor smoke inhalation.

One person went back inside to rescue a dog but there were no other injuries.

The fire remains under investigation, and is considered suspicious.

Fisher said one person went back inside the apartment to rescue a dog.
