VIGO COUNTY, Ind. – The name of the driver responsible for a fatal crash on Valentine’s Day has been made public and a plea agreement has been filed.
According to court records, 16 year old Bryce Switzer-Couthen, was driving the car that killed 17 year old Jenna Perrelle of Terre Haute.
Perrelle was a student and softball player at Terre Haute South Vigo High School.
Switzer-Couthen is charged with reckless homicide, two counts of criminal recklessness and reckless driving and will appear in court on Thursday (6/13/19).
Police said speed was a factor in the crash.
The reason the court is granting public access to this juvenile case is because the court says that “it’s in the best interest of the safety and welfare of the community due to the severity of the charges committed.”
