CLAY COUNTY, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) announces State Road 246 will close just east of the S.R. 159 east junction with S.R. 246 on or after Monday, July 8. This is to replace a large culvert. The road is scheduled to reopen on Friday, July 19.

The official detour follows S.R. 59 to S.R. 46 to S.R. 159 to S.R. 246 and back.

This small structure replacement and pipe lining project was awarded to Crider and Crider, Inc. for $1.7 million and includes numerous locations in Clay and Owen Counties.
