SULLIVAN, Ind.— The city of Sullivan ready to move forward on a way for city residents to cool down in the summer.

The city pool will cost nearly $2 million to renovate and make usable.

It’s been closed since 2017.

There have been several forums to discuss what should be done.

Now the city has created a petition for a splash pad.

The project will cost nearly $1 million.

Mayor Clint Lamb says the city can fund this project.

He says a pool is possible instead but members of the community will need to help out.

50 residents within Sullivan’s city limits must sign the petition at city hall for the splash pad to move forward.
