Indy Man Arrested For Credit Card Fraud And Theft In Parke County

PARKE COUNTY, Ind – On Tuesday this week (7/16/19) Parke County Deputies took a report of credit card fraud and identity deception where the suspects were using stolen credit card information from a victim in Parke County to make purchases in the Indianapolis area and Las Vegas.

Police say that their investigation shows that 25-year-old Richard Wimberly III of Indianapolis was the one making those purchases.

On Thursday was found at the Indianapolis Airport attempting to board a flight to Las Vegas.

He was taken into custody and is being held in the Parke County Jail on $10,000 bond.

Deputies say that during a search of his backpack and suitcase they found approximately $4,300 cash, new name brand clothing items with a value of $3,000, approximately 25 gift cards which were re-encoded to contain stolen credit card information from different victims, and THC edibles.
