GREENE COUNTY, Ind. – A guard at the Greene County Jail is facing charges after he admitted to having a sexual relationship with an inmate.

Authorities allege that Chad Ray had a sexual relationship with inmate Kyla Sims.

The investigation started about a week ago when phone records showed that a phone number from the Greene County Jail’s Female Inmate Block made repeated calls to Ray’s cell phone.

Investigators say some of the conversations between the two may have indicated a sexual relationship.

Both denied the allegations at first and then admitted to the sexual relationship and that the two had contact in Sims cell.

Ray is facing a charge of sexual misconduct.

Contact between the two allegedly occurred in her cell.
