PARKE COUNTY, Ind – Monday night around 5:20 PM Parke County Deputies were called to a single vehicle crash on Mecca Rd east of Mecca.

Police say that a car driven by 56-year-old Pamela Smith of Mecca was traveling eastbound on Mecca Rd when she went off the road, struck a utility’ pole and came back onto the road before leaving the roadway again.

A five-year-old old juvenile in the vehicle sustained serious injuries and is listed in critical condition at this time.

Smith refused medical treatment at the scene.
