TERRE HAUTE, Ind.  – Terre Haute Police were called out around 9:00 a.m. Monday morning to the 600 Block of Wabash Avenue in downtown Terre Haute about a possible hand grenade.

The area was blocked off while officers and the fire department assessed the situation.

Police say that the item was a leftover firework.

No arrests were made.
