PARKE COUNTY, Ind – A trial date has been set in Owen County for the man accused of drunk driving and causing the death of a former Parke County Sheriff and his wife.

42 year old Brian Robertson will stand trial March 9, 2020.

The case was moved after it was determined it was not possible to find an impartial jury in Parke County.

Former Sheriff Michael Eslinger and his wife, Darla Eslinger were killed in an accident on December 21 crash last year on U.S. 41 about two miles south of Rockville.

Police said Robertson had a blood-alcohol concentration of 0.117 percent.
