
TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Police and the Indiana State Police Bomb Squad were called out to downtown Terre Haute last night (9/4/19) on the report of a suspicious package near 4th and Ohio Streets.
A passerby told police of a suspicious package that was placed in a mailbox.
Around 9:00 p.m. the Indiana State Police bomb squad arrived.
It appeared that a robot was used to investigate.
A short time later, the area was declared safe and streets were reopened.
