TERRE HAUTE, Ind.  – Terre Haute Police have released more information after a suspicious package that was reported Wednesday evening around 7:00 p.m. near 4th and Ohio Streets.

A passerby reported seeing a person wearing a black zip-up hoodie with the hood pulled up, and one white glove, place a suspicious package in a mailbox.

The Indiana State Police bomb squad could was called into investigate.

The package was deemed safe, and the area was reopened to traffic.

Terre Haute Police are not sure of who the package belonged to.
