INDIANAPOLIS — Indiana’s two Republican U.S. senators are supporting the Trump administration move that puts two military projects in the state on hold.

The money from those projects will now be used to pay for U.S.-Mexico border wall to try and keep illegal aliens out.

The Pentagon’s list of $3.6 billion in project cuts includes an $8 million small arms range for the Air National Guard in Terre Haute and a $16 million for a rail car holding area at Crane Army Ammunition Plant near Bloomington.

Pentagon officials say 127 construction projects are being “deferred” and not cancelled but there is no guarantee that will happen.

Sen. Mike Braun says President Donald Trump’s decision is necessary because the U.S.-Mexican border “has no order to it.”

Young’s office says he’ll work to restore project funding as soon as possible.
