TERRE HAUTE, Ind – A Terre Haute elementary school was placed on lockout for a short time Tuesday morning.

There was a report of a suspicious person in an alley near the rear Franklin Elementary School around 11:15 a.m.

Police responded and found the person had a toy gun.

Communications Director Bill Riley said that normal activity resumed and the lockout was lifted about 12 minutes later.
