One Arrested After Sunday Night Shooting

TERRE HAUTE, Ind – Terre Haute Police are investigating an overnight shooting.

Sunday night around 11:40 p.m. officers were called to a reported shooting in the 1600 block of 4th Avenue.

Police say that the victim got into a physical altercation while outside of his house, which ultimately led to him being shot in the buttocks.

The victim was taken to a local hospital, treated for non-life-threatening injuries, and released.

After Terre Haute Police detectives completed their investigation they arrested and charged 23-year-old Trevyon Brown-Jones for attempted murder, criminal recklessness, attempted criminal confinement, aggravated battery, and driving while suspended.

Police say that their investigation is ongoing.
