PUTNAM COUNTY, Ind.–An injured owl sitting on a road in Putnam County was rescued by a Putnam County Sheriff’s Deputy and another concerned person Tuesday night.
It was sitting on Manhattan Road, which is a road between Greencastle and Manhattan.
The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office says Deputy Rob Soilleux and the other person, who was driving by, noticed the owl was hurt. They both got the owl into the deputy’s patrol car.
Soilleux said the owl had an injured right wing and possibly a concussion. Soilleux called Paws, Wings & Other Things, a wild animal rescue center, to tell them about the owl.
Representatives from Paws, Wings & Other Things picked up the owl. It’s expected to make a full recovery.
