TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Vigo County Deputies were called out Monday afternoon to a car pedestrian accident.

It happened around 3:00 p.m. near Otter Creek Middle School.

Police say that a vehicle was trying to avoid another crash when it drove into a yard hitting at 14-year-old the girl and then crashing into a garage.

The girl was not seriously hurt but was taken to an area hospital for treatment and has since been released.
