SULLIVAN COUNTY, Ind – ON August 13th this year Indiana State Police began an investigation after receiving information from the Dugger Town Marshall concerning allegations of physical and sexual battery, as well as strangulation.
Officers say that their investigation shows that 20-year-old William T. Smith of Dugger, allegedly physically and sexually battered and strangled two females under the age of 17 on two separate occasions.
Both instances are believed top have occurred in Sullivan County.
Smith turned himself in to police and has since bonded out of jail.
He is being held on two felony counts each of Strangulation, Sexual battery, and two misdemeanor charges of Battery resulting in bodily injury.
