TERRE HAUTE, Ind – Thursday afternoon the Terre Haute branch of the Salvation Army kicked on this years Red Kettle Campaign.
Envoy Sue Linden said the campaign runs through December 24th and this is the major event that helps fund the majority of their projects throughout the year. Their goal is to raise $120,000.
The Red Kettles are at 12 locations around town and they could still use bell ringers. You can register to ring here.
The Salvation Army helped thousands of area residents last year and they can only help a small fraction of those that request help.
On December 21st there will be “Battle Of The Badges” where the Terre Haute Police, Vigo County Sheriff and Terre Haute Fire Departments will each be at different locations trying to raise more money than the other.
