SULLIVAN COUNTY, Ind – Monday afternoon (11/25/19) around 4:40 p.m. Sullivan County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to a grain truck rollover on State Road 48.
The crash occurred near County Rd. 200 W., which is about a mile and a half west of Shelburn.
According to witnesses the dump-truck was westbound on State Road 48, when it went off the right side of the roadway, entered a ditch, then overturned, before coming to rest upright.
The driver, who was identified as 71-year-old Robert Haythorne of Sullivan, was the lone occupant of the vehicle, did not survive the crash.
The truck was hauling corn at the time of the crash.
Alcohol and drugs did not appear to be a factor in the crash.
