VIGO COUNTY, Ind. – Spectacle Entertainment showed Vigo County Commissioners what its plans for a new casino in Vigo County look like.
Commissioners were presented with a proposal on Tuesday morning for a potential local development agreement.
The agreement would be between Spectacle Jack, LLC and Vigo County. It would allow casino dollars to go to a foundation made of five members who would decide how to spend about $3 million per year in estimated casino profits.
John Keeler the Vice President of Spectacle Entertainment unveiled artist renderings of what the “Rocksino” they want to build would look like.
If awarded the license for the casino by the state, Spectacle wants to build on a 22-acre site south of Walmart and next to a motel on Terre Haute’s east-side.
The casino would cost around $125 million to build and would carry the Hard Rock brand.
When completed it is expected to employ around 600 people and have an entertainment venue that could seat around 300 people.
