INDIANAPOLIS — Indiana State Police say the driver of the car that crashed into a school bus on I-70 on Indy’s east side Thursday morning was drunk.

Around 10 a.m., 36-year-old Sarah Nuckols of Indianapolis was speeding on westbound I-70 between Emerson and Arlington Avenues, when she lost control of her car, and crashed into the side of the Warren Township school bus. She was taken to a hospital, then arrested for DUI.

ISP says seven students and three adults were on the bus during the time of the crash. Two of the children and one adult were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The three right lanes of I-70 westbound were closed for approximately one hour.
