HENRY CO., Ind. — Were you stuck in the 10-mile backup on I-70 in Henry County Tuesday afternoon?
State police have released details on what caused the traffic jam, starting with a semi driver choking on pizza. That semi driver pulled over on the side of the interstate around 1:30, but got stuck in the mud. A wrecker was called in to help the semi get back on the westbound lanes of I-70, which caused traffic to back up.
About a half hour later, in the traffic jam, a car driven by a woman from Pittsburgh crashed into the back of a Jeep. The driver of the Jeep, a man from Tennessee, was taken to a New Castle hospital with neck pain.
Another crash then happened a few miles down the road involving a semi and a truck.
State police say I-70 was shut down until 5 p.m.
