VERSAILLES, Ind – Indiana State Troopers often face risks when trying to help all kinds of Hoosiers.
On Monday Sgt. Stephen Wheeles from the Versailles Post came to the rescue of a furry resident.

Sgt. Wheeles said that he was called out around 10:00 a.m. Monday (12/23/19) to I-65 about a cat wandering in traffic with a can on its head.

After the can was removed the cat reportedly left the scene.
Sgt. Wheeles suffered minor injuries.
