
VIGO COUNTY, Ind – Just after 5:00 p.m. Wednesday evening Indiana State Police stopped a driver near 19th Street and College Avenue for not wearing a seatbelt.
29 year old Joshua James Ernest Hart of Terre Haute was found to be wanted on an active warrant out of Vermillion County, Illinois, on probation violation charges.
During a search of Hart’s vehicle, police found paraphernalia and legend drugs (legend drugs are drugs that are approved by FDA and dispensed to the public only by prescription of a licensed physician).
Police also say that Hart was driving under the influence and refused to submit to a certified test.
Hart was arrested for felony Possession of legend drugs, misdemeanor Operating a vehicle while intoxicated, misdemeanor Possession of paraphernalia, and misdemeanor Possession of controlled substance.
