TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – A Terre Haute man accused of murder made his first court appearance on Friday (1/3/20).
32 year old Justin Gasaway allegedly killed 61 year old Bryan Owen on New Years Day on the front porch of his South 9th Street home.
Gasaway told officers he found a man asleep on his porch.
Witnesses reported that Gasaway had been seen beating Owen.
Owen suffered stab wounds and police reportedly recovered a knife at the home.
Gasaway is set to return to court on Wednesday (1/8/20) for the filing of formal charges.
