Mayor Gives Annual City Update

TERRE HAUTE, Ind – On Wednesday morning Terre Haute Mayor Duke Bennett gave his annual city update at the Meadow Banquet Center.

Multiple topics were covered including, a Vigo County Casino and possible uses for revenue from that project.

He also talked about unified zoning between the city and county, the downtown convention center, and the new police station.

The mayor discussed trying to work and improve some neighborhoods in the city suffering from blight and removing old homes.

The Mayor pointed out that the city would be spending nearly $1.5 million on road improvement projects.

Bennett also admitted that there is still work to be done to figure out how to address difficulties in parking plans for the convention center.
