UPDATE

GREENCASTLE, Ind – Police in Greencastle are investigating what is being called a suspicious death.

Around 11:00 p.m. Tuesday night officers were called to 107 East Berry Street about a deceased person.

44 year old Melissa Attkisson of Greencastle was found dead. Police are treating this case as a homicide.

An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday afternoon.

Indiana State Police and the Putnam County Sheriff’s office are helping in the investigation.

Other details are not yet being released.
