VIGO COUNTY, Ind.- A Terre Haute police officer appeared before a judge on Tuesday morning in connection to an off-duty incident in his home.

Officer Jeremy Bales entered a not guilty plea to domestic battery charges.

A judge ordered him to not have any contact with the victim and to take anger management classes at Hamilton Center.

Bales was relieved of his duties at the scene earlier this month.

His department issued badge, weapon, and vehicle were all taken.

He is due back in court next month.
