
INDIANA – County unemployment numbers for January have been released by the Department of Workforce Development.
The highest rate in the state was in Crawford County with 6.1% unemployment rate.
Vermillion County was second highest at 5.8%.
Sullivan County was ninth at 4.8%
Other Wabash Valley Counties:
Greene County was 11th at 4.7%
Vigo County was at 12th at 4.6%
Parke County was 17th at 4.3%
Clay County was 27th at 4.0%
Putnam County was 40th at 3.7%
The lowest unemployment rate in the state was in Hamilton County at 2.6%
The state average was 3.6%
