INDIANAPOLIS – A veto from the Governor kills the landlord tenant bill approved by legislators during this year’s session.
The bill would have denied local protections to renters in cities across the state.
With many Hoosiers forced out of work by the coronavirus pandemic, Eric Holcomb says “this is not the right time for such language to become law.”
The landlord’s group Indiana Apartment Association, had lobbied for the bill after Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett moved to impose new housing proposals.
