CHICAGO  – The Illinois Department of Public Health  reported on Saturday that the state has 2,325 new cases of coronavirus and 111 additional deaths have occurred.

There have now been a total of 3,349 deaths related to COVID-19 and the total number of cases is now 76.085.

Saturday marked the fifth straight day with at least 100 new deaths.

The state says that it is now enforcing a new order requiring everyone to wear face masks in areas where proper social distancing is impossible.
