INDIANAPOLIS — Eli Lilly has announced it has started a study for a second potential coronavirus antibody treatment.
The Indianapolis company announced Monday it is partnering with Junshi Biosciences, a company in China, to test a second treatment. Lilly will begin dosing patients in the United States who have not been diagnosed with coronavirus.
Last week, Lilly started testing coronavirus patients with its first potential antibody treatment. They’re hoping to get final results on that by the end of the month. The company said if the treatments prove to be successful, the goal is to have hundreds of thousands of doses available by the end of the year.
