INDOT To Close S.R. 59 In Mansfield For About Two Months

PARKE COUNTY, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation reported Thursday (6/18/20) that State Road 59 will close in Mansfield on or after Monday, July 6. This project will replace a small structure located just north of C.R. 620 South.

The official detour follows U.S. 36 to U.S. 231 to U.S. 40 and back to S.R. 59.  The roadway is scheduled to reopen September 12 of this year.

This project was awarded to Halverson Construction Co. Inc. for $1.3 million.  This project also included replacing the bridge over the South Fork of Little Raccoon Creek on S.R. 236 last year.
