INDIANAPOLIS, IN — Colts General Manager Chris Ballard said Tuesday that the future of quarterback Carson Wentz is still undecided.
Ballard made it clear that the door has not closed for Wentz, whose 28-million-dollar contract could be locked in March 18th, WISH TV reports. Ballard said he trusts himself and his team to make the right decision, so they see no need to rush into a so-called panic move.
As for Wentz, he has received a lot of criticism throughout his first year with the Colts. If he is not retained by the team, he will become a free agent once again. Ballard says the Colts are definitely looking to score a few more talented players when the free agent draft begins.
