Terre Haute, In. – A man from West Terre Haute was sentenced Tuesday, after pleading guilty in connection with a Christmas 2019 crime spree. 55 year old Paul Aubin was ordered by Judge Michael Lewis, to serve 10 years in prison with four years suspended to formal probation for attempted aggravated battery, auto theft and theft. Judge Lewis also ordered two years of the probation be served at Truman House. Aubin will receive credit for two years served in the Vigo County Jail as he was awaiting trial. Prosecutors had asked for 15 years in prison, but Aubin got a bit of a break in the plea deal, which dropped six other heavy charges, including attempted murder.
