Brazil, In. – A former Clay County deputy faces an identity deception charge. Police arrested Andrew Longyear on Wednesday. According to police, the investigation started in February. A Georgia resident told police someone else was using his identity on social media. Indiana State Police says Longyear was using the man’s identity and posting derogatory comments in the “Brazil Chatter” Facebook group. According to police, Longyear has been living in Fishers, Indiana. And, has since resigned from the Carmel, Indiana Police Department.
