Clay County, In. – A driver working for an independent contractor was delivering for FedEx around 10pm Monday when he was approached by an armed man on State Road 59 in Clay County.  When the driver tried to drive away the man shot at him.  According to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office the van was struck at least three times by a shotgun.  The man that shot at the driver assumed he was up to no good since its unusual deliveries are made that late in the evening and there had been several thefts in the area. After deputies confirmed the van driver was making deliveries the shooter was arrested and released on bail
