INDIANAPOLIS-Gov. Eric Holcomb has expressed his objectiions to toxic waste from the Ohio train derailment coming to Putnam County.
“I continue to object to the EPA Administrator’s decision, from Washington, D.C., to move hazardous waste from the East Palestine train derailment to Indiana,” Gov. Eric Holcomb said in a statement Tuesday. “Further, there has been a lack of communication with me and other Indiana officials about this decision.”
Holcomb said he learned third-hand Monday that materials will be transported to Indiana.
The waste is scheduled to be delivered to a landfill near Russellville n northern Putnam County.
