VERMILLION COUNTY — On March 31st, Vermillion County Indiana Sheriff’s Office was notified by Danville Illinois Police Department that they were in pursuit of a 2008 maroon Chevrolet Impala.
The pursuit was eastbound I-74 from the Indiana / Illinois line. The pursuit then exited I74 and headed southbound SR 63.
The pursuit continued southbound at speeds near 104 mph and it was reported that the occupants had thrown items from the vehicle. Vermillion County, IN Deputies joined the pursuit near SR 63 and CR 700 North in the Cayuga area.
The suspect vehicle recklessly slid sideways to make a crossover where the pursuit then went back northbound.
The pursuit continued north on 63 while attempts were being made to deploy Stop Stick tire deflation devices ahead of the pursuit.
The pursuit came to an end when one of the rear tires of the vehicle being pursued deflated. The vehicle came to a
stop northbound SR 63 at I74. All occupants of the vehicle were taken into custody without incident.
A search of the vehicle yielded near 74 grams of suspected marijuana, over 2 grams of suspected cocaine,
THC candy bars, THC wax, a firearm and over $3,000.00 in US currency.

Marco Perez (26) of Danville, IL
Miguel Garcia (22) of Danville, IL
Cameron Jenkins (28) of Danville, IL
All three suspects are being held on $25,000.00 bond with 10% allowed.
Miguel Garcia has since posted bond.
Charges have been forwarded to the Vermillion County Prosecutor’s Office for review.
