United Way raises nearly $40,000 for relief

TERRE HAUTE — The United Way of the Wabash Valley has raised and distributed nearly $40,000 to six organizations for tornado and other “safety net” relief in area counties.

The programs are Marshall Federated Church Buddy Bag Program, Council on Domestic Abuse (CODA) Flex Funding Program, Kid Kare Project Direct Assistance, Mental Health America of West Central Indiana PATH Program, St. Joseph University Parish  Samaritan Utility Ministry, and St. Joseph University Parish and Samaritan Utility.
