TERRE HAUTE — Oxford House and similar organizations will no longer be able to move into neighborhoods without a change of zoning.

An ordinance making the change was passed 5 to 2 by the City Council on Thursday night.

Oxford House has been located in a residence in the Colette Park neighborhood for almost two years and has not initiated any contact with the city.

Oxford House is a “sober-living” home. Neighbors have complained about lack of supervision and loud noise late at night.
