BRAZIL – Thursday is the World Day of Prayer as recognized by Christian churches of all denominations and faiths around the the globe.

Each year for several years the day has been recognized in Brazil with a program of singing, meditation and prayer at the Clay County Courthouse.

This year will be different. A second observance has been added at 6 p.m. for those who wish to attend both programs or cannot make the noon program. The noon program will be held outside the courthouse or in the rotunda, in case of rain, said Jennifer Flater, one of the organizaers.

At 6 p.m. there will be a program of prayer and songs outside the Clay County Courthouse or on the running track at the Clay County YMCA in Brazil, in case of inclement weather.
