VIGO COUNTY – On Monday at 3:20pm, Vigo County deputies responded to a car/train crash on east Harlan Dr near Bono Rd.  A train had struck an SUV.

“Unfortunately the driver, and only occupant of the SUV, was pronounced deceased at the scene,” stated a release from the Sheriff’s Office. “The fatal crash team and the Vigo County Coroner’s office assisted with the investigation. A name is not being released at this time. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of the victim.”
