JASONVILLE  – Two groups of armed teens, fighting in Jasonville, has resulted in attempted murder charges against one of the men.

The Greene County prosecutor’s office has charged an 18-year-old with attempted murder. Ayvin Wittgren of Bloomfield has also been charged with criminal recklessness and pointing a firearm.

Last Tuesday, police received a report of gunfire coming while two groups were fighting on South Washington Street in Jasonville. Police said Wittgren said he fired the gun because he was scared and did not intend to hurt anyone.
