SULLIVAN – A motorcycle rider was killed following a crash with an SUV on County Road 300 N at Mary Sherman Drive in Sullivan around 2 a.m., Sunday.

The driver of the SUV was identified as Emmett Forbes, 22, who was charged with reckless homicide, reckless driving causing death, operating a vehicle while intoxicated and driving left of center. The sheriffs office said he had a blood alcohol content of .22. The legal limit is .08.

The motorcyclist, whose identify was not released, was airlifted to a hospital where he died of his injuries.
