Duke Energy gives $170,000 to aid people in Wabash Valley

TERRE HAUTE – Duke Energy Foundation passed out checks totaling $170,000 to non-profit and government organizations in the Wabash Valley on Wednesday.

The money will help those impacted by recent storms.

The following organizations received grants:

Terre Haute Parks Department — $10,000

Rediscover Clinton (Vermillion County) — $10,000

Clay County Emergency Food Pantry — $10,000

Putnam County Community Foundation — $10,00

American Red Cross of Indiana — $50,000

Salvation Army Indiana Division — $50,000

United Way of Monroe County — $30,000.
